AVINASH KUMAR, an alumnus of Salaam Baalak Trust, overcame his life’s obstacles and found his passion. Although he started with little, he succeeded in becoming an independent puppeteer, dancer and choreographer. SCARLETT RODRIGUES spoke to him to learn more about his journey.

Success Stories: From Humble Beginnings to Stage Success

Tell us a little about yourself. During my childhood, I lived in Purnia, Bihar. My parents were farmers and we faced financial difficulties. I used to help my parents with their work. I often overheard adults talking about big cities like Delhi, and I always wondered what life in Delhi would be lik
