YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP), launched the distribution of free educational kits under the Jagananna Vidya Kanuka scheme in the Palnadu district of AP. Under this scheme, over 43 lakh students of government and aided schools across AP will receive kits that will comprise notebooks, bilingual textbooks, workbooks, uniforms, a belt, two pairs of socks, a pair of shoes and a school bag. Additionally, students of classes 1 to 5 will receive a pictorial dictionary and students of classes 6 to 10 will receive an English-to-Telugu dictionary. The scheme makes it easy for students to procure study materials and aims at enhancing students’ learning outcomes.
