Strawberry Crepe

Treat your child to these delicate crepes filled with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup water
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • ¾ cup refined flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 7 strawberries cut into half

For the whipping cream

  • 200ml whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon castor sugar

For the strawberry sauce

  • 7 strawberries cut into half
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons castor sugar

METHOD

  • In a bowl, add whipping cream and castor sugar and mix till it forms peaks.
  • For the strawberry sauce, in a vessel, add half the cut strawberries, castor sugar and water and cook till they are nice and mushy.
  • In a bowl, add the eggs, milk, butter and refined flour and beat well. Add salt. The batter is ready.
  • Heat a pan, pour a ladle full of batter and create a thin crepe.
  • Cook it on a medium to low flame.
  • Once you see bubbles on top and the top seems cooked, take it off the heat.
  • To stuff the crepe, take a crepe, spread some whipped cream and strawberry sauce, roll it and top it with strawberries.
  • Your strawberry crepe is ready.
