The directorate of education (DoE) of the Delhi government has made skill subjects mandatory for students of classes 9 and 10 in Delhi’s government schools. Vocational subjects such as information technology, data science, introduction to financial markets, beauty and wellness, marketing and sales and food production have been included in the curriculum of Delhi’s government schools from the academic session 2023-2024 as part of the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP). This initiative aims to ensure the exposure of children to a variety of vocations and that every child learns a minimum of one.
