In compliance with the suggestions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has created a number of skill modules for students in middle school. This approach intends to expose students to vocational education and integrate skills during their middle and secondary school years. The skill modules for those in classes 6 to 8 will include 12- to 15-hour courses in AI, baking, ceramics, coding, financial literacy and virtual reality. The NEP’s guidelines are designed to make sure that students learn at least one trade, improving their future employment prospects.
