Indian Neuroscientist Appointed as President-elect of International Brain Research Organisation

An Indian neuroscientist named Shubha Tole has been appointed as the president-elect of the International Brain Research Organisation (IBRO), an association that promotes education and research in the field of neuroscience.

An Indian neuroscientist named Shubha Tole has been appointed as the president-elect of the International Brain Research Organisation (IBRO), an association that promotes education and research in the field of neuroscience. Tole will serve as the president-elect of the organisation from January 1, 2025, and will start her tenure as president from January 1, 2026. Her presidency will conclude on December 31, 2028. Tole, who currently works as a neuroscientist at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, will continue serving on IBRO’s advisory board in the capacity of a former president for two years after her tenure as president ends. Tole has carried out significant research in the field of neuroscience in India since 1999 and is the recipient of the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award.
