Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, along with Ministry of Supply, a USA-based fashion company, have innovated a dress that can change shape and be customised to suit different people. Scientists made use of heat-activated yarn, robotic technology and computerised knitting techniques to create the dress. A robotic arm produces heat, which causes the heat-activated yarn to change shape and style according to the wearer’s physique. This dress can be redesigned and reused many times, making it an eco-friendly alternative to normal clothes.
