A 36-year-old mountaineer from Pandalam in Kerala named Shaikh Hassan Khan recently scaled Mount Everest and Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Khan, a state government employee, intends to scale the highest mountains in the world, including Denali in North America and the highest summits in Japan and Russia. After finishing his mountaineering training, Khan started pursuing his enthusiasm for the sport. Despite numerous financial obstacles, he persisted in going after his objectives. Today, he lectures on the subject and imparts his wisdom and life lessons with an emphasis on spreading the message of peace and raising awareness of climate change.
