A huge sari exhibition that displays about 60 contemporary Indian saris opened on May 19 at the Design Museum in London, UK. Called ‘The Offbeat Sari’, this exhibition is the first of its kind in the UK and will run till September 17. It includes innovative saris on loan from Indian studios and designers including Sabyasachi, Diksha Khanna and Tarun Tahiliani. The exhibition aims at providing an overview of the fashion revolution the sari is experiencing worldwide and the innovative ways in which it is worn.
