Researchers at The Chinese University of Hong Kong have developed metal robots that can change between solid and liquid state, which enables their usage in different environments. These robots are made of magnetic particles that are embedded in gallium.
Altering the magnetic field causes the robots to move and change state. These robots can navigate constricted environments and will have applications in the field of medicine to deliver drugs and remove foreign objects from the body. They can also be used in the assembly of electronics.
