Delhi Jal Board has requested all schools in New Delhi to conduct rainwater harvesting workshops. This initiative is being taken to raise groundwater aquifers by adopting alternate means of surface water consumption. Rainwater harvesting is the cheapest mode of water conservation. Since schoolchildren are the future of India, it is necessary to educate them on the importance of water and its conservation. Schools will be conducting workshops on rainwater harvesting with resources provided by the Jal Board.
