The Department of State Educational Research and Training (DSERT), Karnataka, has started radio-based classes for students from classes 1 to 9. Students can listen to lectures that will be broadcast by 13 stations on All India Radio in Karnataka and three Vividh Bharati stations from 2.35 to 3pm from Monday to Thursday. Through this initiative, the government aims to provide in-depth education on subjects such as health, ethics and yoga and intends to improve students’ attention span and listening skills.
