The city of Toronto in Canada faced a power outage on February 1 due to a raccoon that fidgeted with electricity equipment at a power station in downtown Toronto. Close to 7,000 people in the area were without power for around three hours. The outage caused traffic lights to stop working, disrupted water supply and led to people being trapped in elevators. It is believed that the raccoon died after making contact with the equipment. Authorities are hoping to come up with measures, which will prevent similar power outages from occurring in the future.
