Queensland’s Koala Protection Strategy

Over $24 million has been allocated to the protection of koala populations and habitats in the south-east region of Australia’s Queensland as part of a funding package for threatened species by the Queensland Government.

Over $24 million has been allocated to the protection of koala populations and habitats in the south-east region of Australia’s Queensland as part of a funding package for threatened species by the Queensland Government. The funding will help continue the implementation of the South East Queensland Koala Strategy 2020-2025, which aims to increase the koala population by restoring and protecting its habitats and supporting conservation projects.
