Scientists have revealed the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) interplanetary probe that will investigate Europa, Jupiter’s moon, for extraterrestrial life. The spacecraft named Clipper will launch in October from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA. The $5 billion probe is expected to travel for more than five years and orbit Europa and Jupiter by 2031. The probe comprises numerous instruments including spectrometers, radar systems and cameras that will help scientists examine Europa’s terrain and search for conditions that may harbour life.
