According to a new study, variations in vascular patterns in the retina could indicate the development of coronary artery disease (CAD). Studying information from the retina along with genetic information could help experts predict the risk of a heart attack. This could help doctors treat patients and suggest behaviours that could reduce the risk. Scientists believe that this new model could spot the risk of an attack more effectively as compared to established approaches.
