What you need to do to build a career as a Pharmacist.

A pharmacist is a medical professional who prepares, stores, handles and administers different medications. They may also conduct research in the field of pharmaceuticals, test and develop medicines and conduct quality assurance and quality control tests of medicines.

To be a pharmacist one must complete:

  • Class 12 in science
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
  • 2-year master’s degree in pharmacy
  • PhD in pharmacy (optional)

Career Options:
A pharmacist can work in pharmacies linked to clinics or hospitals or retail pharmacies. They may also work in a pharmaceutical company, a laboratory, a research firm or a pharmaceutical college.
Job Roles:
Pharmacist, senior pharmacist, regulatory affairs associate, quality assurance/ quality control pharmacist, production pharmacist, research analyst and professor.
