Pallonji Mistry, head of Shapoorji Pallonji Group, a diversified organisation of 18 companies, passed away on June 28 at the age of 93. Mistry helped the 150-year-old group expand to various places across the world including Dubai, Oman and West Asia. Under his leadership, the company became a conglomerate inclusive of energy, financial services and real estate businesses. In 2016, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan for his remarkable contribution to the field of business. Some of the iconic buildings built by the company under his leadership include the Qasr Al Alam Palace in Oman and the Reserve Bank of India in Mumbai.
