OpenAI, the San Francisco-based company that developed ChatGPT, has hired Pragya Misra as the company’s first employee in India, filling the post of government relations head. The 39-year-old will head public policy affairs and partnerships in India. Before OpenAI, Misra worked with Truecaller as the director of public affairs. She has been associated with numerous reputed companies in the past including Meta Platforms Inc and Ernst & Young. She graduated from Delhi University and completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the International Management Institute (IMI).
