- A scheme that facilitates easy access to academic publications and articles, called One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) scheme, was approved by the Union Cabinet in November. This initiative will allow Indian researchers, students and educators to access international academic resources free of charge.
- Through the ONOS scheme, universities and colleges all over India will be able to avail of publications from top publishers around the world.
- With a budget allocation of ₹6,000 crore, the ONOS scheme will equip educational establishments with up-to-date academic and research content from around the world from 2025 to 2027.
- The Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) will execute this initiative.
