Researchers in the UK have found a new kind of bacteria growing in the sea because of rising temperatures. The study has found two Vibrio species known as Vibrio roti-ferianus and Vibrio jasicida. These bacteria species are known to harm sea creatures such as shellfish. The increasing range of Vibrio species also raises concerns about human health as they can cause gastroenteritis if eaten raw and can also cause skin infections to those who come in physical contact with the bacteria.
