A new species of plant was discovered by a team of researchers from the Wuhan Botanical Garden in China’s Hubei province. This newly discovered plant is a new Veronicastrum species and has been named Veronicastrum wulingense.
The Veronicastrum genus has significant medicinal properties and can be used as an antioxidant and to cure inflammation. Researchers came across the unidentified Veronicastrum species while they were examining plants in the Pingbaying National Forest in Hubei.
