Google’s parent firm, Alphabet has built robots that can wipe tables, sort trash, open doors and perform other duties with 90% accuracy. A hundred of these prototype robots have been installed in Google’s Bay Area campus offices in California, USA. These robots are part of the ‘Everyday Robots’ project, which is being led by a team from Google’s X research laboratory. These robots are autonomous and equipped with various cameras and sensors to understand situations and carry out their work seamlessly. The details of this project were revealed in 2019 by Alphabet. The team is currently working to broaden the range of tasks that the Everyday Robots project’s robots can perform.
