Neha Narkhede, who is the co-founder of Confluent, a data streaming technology company, created history by being included in the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2022 as the youngest self-made woman entrepreneur. With an estimated networth of ₹4,700 crore, she ranks 336 on the list. The 37-year-old ranked 57 on Forbes’ list of America’s Richest Self-made Women in June 2022. Born in Pune, Narkhede was a student at the University of Pune and the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA. Narkhede worked with Oracle and then joined LinkedIn where she developed the open-source messaging system called Apache Kafka along with two colleagues. She started Confluent with the same colleagues and is now a board member of the company.
