A pilot of the National Credit Framework (NCrF) will be introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in schools affiliated with the board from the academic year 2024-2025. The NCrF is a system that allows students to earn credits through academic and skill subjects from pre-primary level to higher education level, encouraging a holistic educational approach. The CBSE plans to assess the efficacy of the NCrF by initiating its trial run for classes 6, 9 and 11 and has invited schools to take part in the pilot project.
