A hat belonging to the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte was auctioned for $2.1 million in Paris, France. It is believed that the black felt bicorn (two-cornered) hat is one of the 120 hats owned by Bonaparte during his lifetime. The ruler was known for wearing his hats sideways. The hat was part of memorabilia collected by Jean-Louis Noisiez, who passed away in 2022. It fetched far more than its estimated value, which was between $650,000 and $870,000.
