The Kerala State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has included a five-page chapter on Mumbai’s well-known dabbawalas in the English textbook of class 9 from 2024. The chapter highlights the humble beginnings of the service in 1890 and its journey to success. The dabbawalas’ food delivery system has also been presented as a paper by faculty at Harvard University, USA, where the efficiency of the system and its unique delivery code was brought to light.
