At the age of 76 years, Muhammad Malhas from Jordan has made his flying dreams come true! Over the last three years, he built a duplicate cockpit of a Boeing 737-800 from scrap and secondhand gadgets and now he flies across the world virtually from the basement of his house using a flight simulator! On many of these virtual trips, his wife is his co-pilot. Ahmad Fares, a friend, even helped him install electronics for the onboard systems in the cabin to give the illusion of flying a real plane. Malhas, who always dreamed of flying, graduated in hospital administration in 1969 and went on to work along with his father. He managed to keep his love for flying alive by reading books on aviation and plane engineering.
