A dinosaur fossil that was sold for $44.6 million, making it the most expensive dinosaur fossil ever auctioned, has been exhibited at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, USA. The fossil, belonging to a stegosaurus, is 150 million years old and was acquired by a billionaire named Kenneth C Griffin at an auction in July 2024. The dinosaur called Apex, measuring 27ft in length and 11ft in height, has been loaned to the museum by Griffin for a period of four years. This will give scientists a chance to study the fossil and allow the public to view it.
