A mobile application called ‘Paat-Mitro’ has been launched for Indian jute farmers by India’s Ministry of Textiles to enhance farmers’ knowledge of crop cultivation and minimum support prices (MSP). The application has been developed by the Jute Corporation of India and is available to users in six languages. The application provides users with information on a variety of subjects including different schemes, agronomic techniques and weather forecasts. Additionally, the application’s chatbot feature enables users to get their queries addressed.
