Meet the Real Six-legged Dragons

Who could they be? Dragonflies, of course! True to their name, the first prehistoric dragonflies were incredibly large–they had a wingspan equal to that of a crow! These massive wings may have proved to be rather cumbersome when the insect flew through low vegetation. Over time, they evolved, shortening in size until they became what we see today.
