It was a bright sunny morning for Maya as it was her first day in her new school.
She had just moved in from Georgia to New York.
“Wake-up Maya dear!” , Maya’s mother shouted from the kitchen. “Breakfast is ready”
“Coming Mom, I’m up!” Maya said, almost falling off the bed. She quickly got ready and ate her breakfast.
“Are you excited for your first day of school?” her Mom asked. “Yep, I sure am!” said Maya, grabbing her school bag. Maya hopped in her car and said her goodbyes to her dog, Barney. Soon in the blink of an eye, they had arrived in the new school.
“Bye Mom!, I will see you after school”, Maya said.
“Bye dear, have fun, don’t get in trouble” said her mom. Maya quickly ran inside and tried to find her class.
“4-C” she said trying to find her class, just then a girl came up to her and said “Hi, I’m Evie! I’m new here too! I mean – uh, are you new here?”
“Hi, I’m Maya, nice to meet you and yes I’m new here” replied Maya.
“Cool! Are you in class 4-C?” Evie asked,
“Yeah, I suppose I am.” Maya said looking at her new friend.
“Great, I’ll walk ya there”. Let’s sit together.” Evie said Excitedly.
“Uh “okay” Maya said nervously “Guess, I have no other choice then?” she mumbled.
“Here we are!” Evie said a little less perky and excited.
“Great, shall we sit next to the window!” Maya asked.
“Sure, I’m so happy you asked, I’ve always wanted to sit there.” Evie said as they walked over there after greeting the teacher.
In some time Maya realised she was warming up to Evie and that she was kinda liking her class. But soon her thoughts were disrupted by the school bell ringing.
It was the Math period, Maya’s favourite (and strongest) subject
“Good Morning students! My name is Mrs. Greenwood and I will be your Math teacher. Let’s get to know each other and learn”
“Isn’t she quite nice?” Maya and Evie thought.
Everyone started to immerse in the awesomeness of Math. Suddenly, a flying saucer flew in through the window-sill and landed on Maya and Evie’s bench.
“Oh look! a flying saucer” Evie said. “Hmm, must be a toy, pretty cool though!” Maya said. Evie picked up the spaceship and started shaking it for fun.
“Ahhhhh! Stop” a little raspy voice shouted out.
“Huh what was that? Wait, stop shaking it.” Maya said
Just as Evie put down the spaceship, a little figurine came out.
“Hello kids, I’m Blue! An alien from planet Gazorpazorp! Please help us!” Blue pleaded.
Evie and Maya were perplexed!
“Uh wait, you need help for what?” Evie asked.
Just please come with me, I will show you” the alien, blue said.
“Dude! Do you think we are stupid? We are not gonna follow you just because you need “help”. You are practically kidnapping us.” Maya said, annoyed.
“Ugh, you shouldn’t have made me do this.” The alien said, grabbing Maya and Evie’s hands, transporting them to a new world.
“Woah! where are we?” Maya asked angrily, struggling to breath.
“You and your friend are on our planet. “Gazorbazorp”
“Listen let me get straight to the point kids, Wear these helmets first, they will help you breathe fresh air. The reason why we have these is because we do not have plants to help us breathe well. Blue said.
At Gazorbazorp, we have everything, a super special powerful star that gives energy, water and light.But we do not have green plants here like your planet!
“So all you need is for us to plant your trees?” Evie asked.
“Yeh” Blue said.
“And if we don’t?” asked Maya.
“You will never go back to your home- planet again.” Blue said “Easy and simple”
“Oh well let’s get planting shall we? “Maya asked,
“Yes, ” Evie said.
Maya and Evie started to prepare the soil, made it fertile and planted tons of trees so that Blue and his friends have a chance to breathe fresh air.
They taught them how to take care of plants, so that they are not kidnapped again!
Blue and his friends thanked Evie and Maya for the good help and teleported them back to their school.
“Wait, what time is it now?? Evie asked
“It’s 3 P.M, home time actually. Maya replied. “Oh I see my mum, Bye Evie see you tomorrow. “Maya said abruptly and left.
She hopped in her car. “Hi Mom” said Maya.
“Hi! How was skipping school?” Her mom asked. She continued without allowing Maya to speak. “You are grounded! You are only allowed out to take Barney for a walk. Mom said sternly. Maya was too stunned to speak.
Just then the sound of her alarm clock startled her.
“Wake up Maya dear!” Maya’s mother shouted from the kitchen . “Breakfast is ready!”
“Huh?” Maya said shocked.”Quickly Maya, we are going to be late for your first day of school.
“Coming mum”
“Was all of It is just a Dream?” Maya pondered.
