Scientists have found unusual sand dunes on Mars, which are almost perfectly circular. The pictures of these sand dunes were captured by Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter’s (MRO) High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) colour camera, which photographs various targeted regions on Mars in unprecedented detail.
Mars’ sand dunes are of a variety of sizes and shapes but according to scientists, the circular sand dunes spotted recently are unusual and mysterious. The sand dunes were spotted in one of several images taken to observe the disappearance of frost at the end of winter on Mars.
