Lucknow Gets India’s First Night Safari  

India’s first night safari, covering an area of 900 acres, is being built in Lucknow by the Uttar Pradesh government.

  • India’s first night safari, covering an area of 900 acres, is being built in Lucknow by the Uttar Pradesh government. This safari, which is being constructed in Kukrail Reserve Forest, is set to be the fifth night safari in the world. 
  • The safari will include many features such as a tramway and a skywalk and will also offer sky cycling and zipline facilities. Visitors will be able to safely view numerous animals including carnivorous animals such as leopards and Asiatic lions through a laminated glass. 
  • The safari will feature lighting that resembles moonlight, enabling visitors to observe nocturnal creatures in a calm ambience. 
  • The safari is set to serve as an international tourist attraction and is expected to be open to the public in December 2026.
