What is boredom? Well, for me, it’s an amalgamation of fatigue and lethargy—a feeling of doing nothing. When I feel bored, my eardrums can process the clock ticking and nothing else. I personally enjoy the feeling of boredom. I just lay on the couch, peacefully resting my body.
Sometimes I get bored of the feeling of boredom itself. Then I imagine an intriguing adventure, where I meticulously create a plot and enact it in my mind. For example, I pretend that the floor is lava and I must cross it. Or I ride a dragon. Or I recreate scenes from movies or TV shows by making changes to the plot.
Seriously, we can do anything when we are bored. There is no limit to what we can do. We can listen to a playlist, create a new dish or watch a TV drama.
Maybe because I am a couch potato, I deal with my boredom in a more imaginative way. You can also go find a victim in your family too, to while away your time. My grandma is my usual target. She says art is the solution to boredom. But I never felt it that way. Well, what is your way of getting rid of boredom?
