Linda Yaccarino was chosen as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of the social media platform Twitter. Raised in an Italian American family, Yaccarino graduated from Pennsylvania State University, USA, and has worked with companies such as Turner Entertainment and NBCUniversal Media during her career. She has over 25 years of experience in the field of advertising. She worked with NBCUniversal for over a decade and held various positions including chairman-global advertising and partnerships. In her role at the company, Yaccarino was responsible for overseeing the company’s local, national and global ad sales and was involved with the launch of its streaming service. In her new role at Twitter, she will manage business operations.
