In order to help visually impaired children read, toy company Lego has offered Braille bricks for sale in the English and French language for the very first time. The ‘Lego Braille Bricks – Play with Braille’ set has bricks with raised studs on them. These studs correspond to the characters in the Braille system and can be read through touch. The sets comprise 287 pieces in five colours and are available for sale on Lego’s website. Since 2020, Lego has been providing its Braille brick sets to schools and institutions that work with visually impaired children free of cost and has now made the sets available for sale due to popular demand. The company plans to release the Braille sets in more languages by the beginning of next year.
