A female executive named Lee Young-hee has been elevated to the post of president of the Global Marketing Center for the South Korea-based technology giant, Samsung’s Device eXperience division, which handles the company’s mobile business. She is the first female from outside the founding family of the company to assume the role of president. Young-hee became a part of the company in 2007 and in 2012, she was promoted to the post of vice president. She played a significant role in marketing Samsung’s Galaxy range of cell phones.
