The Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB) in Surat, Gujarat, surpassed the Pentagon in the USA to become the world’s largest office. This newly opened office building has a floor area of more than 7.1 million sq ft and comprises nine 15-storey towers. The building has around 4,700 office spaces and can accommodate approximately 65,000 diamond professionals including diamond traders, polishers and cutters. The SDB project costs ₹3,200 crores and will serve as a hub for diamond professionals, facilitating the trade of rough and polished diamonds.
