The construction of Noida International Airport, the largest international airport in India, at Jewar in Noida is in progress. The airport will have five runways and will replace Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport as the country’s largest airport. The first phase of the airport will be spread over 1,334 hectares and will become operational in 2024. Sustainable energy sources will be used to produce electricity for the airport.
