- To promote the establishment of start-ups and boost technological development, the Karnataka government intends to set up a Startups, Workspaces, Innovation, Finance and Technology (SWIFT) city in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
- This city will be situated close to Sarjapur in Bengaluru and will span 1,000 acres. This city is projected to appeal to budding start-ups, which can utilise work areas between 5,000 and 20,000 sq ft.
- The city will be built next to information technology (IT) centres and will include advanced infrastructure and connectivity.
- Apart from commercial spaces, the city will also include educational institutions, residential zones and amenities, providing a balanced setting that caters to individuals’ personal and professional lives.
