Justice Aniruddha Bose, who completed a five-year tenure as a judge of the Supreme Court of India, has been selected as the director of the National Judicial Academy (NJA), Bhopal. The NJA educates and trains judicial officers and judges across India. An alumnus of St Xavier’s College and Surendranath Law College, Kolkata, Bose was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court in 2019. He registered with the Bar Council of West Bengal in 1985 and served as a judge of the Calcutta High Court and the chief justice of the Jharkhand High Court during his career. While serving at the Supreme Court, he was a part of major decisions on various matters including animal welfare and data privacy.
