An introductory-level online training programme called Space Science and Technology Awareness Training (START) has been introduced by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to give students an understanding of the various aspects of space science and help them choose a suitable career path. The programme is aimed at postgraduate and final-year students of physical sciences and technology, giving them exposure to ongoing research in different institutes across India and professional pathways they could explore. Indian scientists including those from ISRO centres will conduct this programme, which will cover different spheres of space science including instrumentation, aeronomy and astronomy and astrophysics.
