INGREDIENTS
1 cup semolina (suji or rawa)
½ cup curd
½ cup water
Oil for cooking
For the Batter:
1 onion, chopped
1 capsicum, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
1-inch ginger, chopped
4 to 5 garlic cloves
1 green chilli, chopped
Salt as per taste
½ teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon black
pepper powder
½ teaspoon garam masala
3 tablespoons water
METHOD
In a bowl, mix the semolina, curd and water to get a runny mixture.
Let it rest for 15 minutes.
For the batter, in another bowl add the onion, capsicum, tomato, ginger, garlic, green chilli, salt, cumin powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, garam masala and water.
Mix both and adjust the consistency.
Heat a pan and add some oil. When it is hot, add 2 spoonsful of the mixture and cook for 2 minutes on each side on a medium flame.
Serve hot with coconut chutney or sauce and enjoy.
