Researchers at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in Germany have created a wearable ring that can repel insects for a long period of time. The device has been made using IR3535, an insect repellent that is present in mosquito sprays and lotions. The insect repellent was added to a biodegradable polymer with the help of 3D printing technology before it was moulded into a ring.
