Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled India’s Union Budget for 2025-2026 on February 1. The budget includes reforms across various spheres including infrastructure, education, agriculture and taxation.
The budget is designed to boost India’s growth and development by dedicating efforts towards exports, investments, agriculture and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Among the main highlights of the budget is the elevation of the income tax limit to ₹12 lakh, facilitating more savings. The government has also come up with numerous initiatives that support farmers including the Prime Minister Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana 2025 that aims to improve agricultural productivity.
The government has planned various educational initiatives including creating Atal Tinkering Labs in government schools.
