The first green hydrogen fuelling station in India has been established in Leh, Ladakh, marking a significant development in India’s shift towards clean energy alternatives. The facility, built for National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) by Amara Raja Infra, is located at an altitude of 3,400mts and is capable of generating 80kgs of green hydrogen each day. It was built over a two-year period and was inaugurated by Union Minister for Power and Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar in November. The conclusion of the project will allow NTPC to run five hydrogen fuel cell buses in the area, facilitating eco-friendly transport.
