India defeated Pakistan by six wickets in the Group A match of the 2025 International Cricket Council (ICC) Champion’s Trophy on February 23. In the match held in Dubai, India reached the target of 242 runs set by Pakistan with 45 balls and six wickets remaining.
During the match, Shreyas Iyer scored 56 runs while Virat Kohli reached his 51st century in One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
Kohli achieved another milestone by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record of being the fastest Indian batsman to reach 14,000 runs in the ODI format. With 158 catches, Kohli also became the Indian fielder with the highest number of catches in ODIs, surpassing Mohammad Azharuddin’s record of 156 catches.
