An academic of Indian origin named Yadvinder Malhi has been reappointed as the trustee of the board of the Natural History Museum, an important research centre and tourist attraction located in London, UK. He was reappointed to the post by UK’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and began his second four-year term as the institution’s trustee in April. In this position, Malhi will continue to oversee the institution’s management and support its role in preserving the natural world. Malhi is currently a professor of ecosystem science at the University of Oxford’s School of Geography and the Environment. His research focuses on the impact of global environmental change on biodiversity.
