A musician of Indian origin named Chandrika Tandon secured a Grammy Award for her album named ‘Triveni’, which features seven tracks that encourage introspection and mindfulness. 71-year-old Tandon and her collaborators Eru Matsumoto, a Japanese cellist, and Wouter Kellerman, a South African flautist, were jointly presented with the award at the 67th Grammy Music Awards held in Los Angeles, USA, on February 2. Tandon’s album won the prestigious award in the Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album category, making it her first Grammy win. Her album ‘Soul Call’ earned her her career’s first Grammy nomination in the year 2011. Tandon was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and is the sister of Indra Nooyi, the ex-chief executive officer (CEO) of PepsiCo.
